UNESCO industrial monument<\/h3>\n

The V\u00f6lklingen Ironworks is a former ironworks founded in 1873, which was shut down in 1986. In 1994, the V\u00f6lklingen Ironworks was the first industrial monument in the world to be declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.<\/p>\n

Today, numerous cultural events and exhibitions take place here. Every year, over 200,000 people from all over the world come to see this imposing industrial ruin.<\/p>\n

Watch the film in the baroque chapter house, where you can relive the milestones in the company’s history.
